“PA AMB TOMAQUET” (BREAD AND TOMATO)
A staple in Catalunya, such easy dish is perfect to pair with everything! It might come as a surprise that it was invented to make stale bread (one of the few things poor people could afford) edible again: nowadays we don’t use stale bread anymore, but fresh one spreading directly the tomato and then adding a little bit of extra virgin olive oil and salt. It is the perfect way to start and end a great lunch or dinner!
